As President James's role is to drive the UniAssist vision forward and manage the dynamic executive team ensuring everything is done to a high standard!

Coming from a background where I've had no support in applying to higher education, I have first hand experienced the struggles of gaining a place in your desired University. This issue only seems to be made worse by outreach programmes that cherry-pick their students.This inequality in education system has bothered me for many years and I decided that it was time to stop waiting for someone else to solve this problem do something myself- the answer UniAssist.
Sanju Rajavelu
Secretary
Sanju is our number 1 point of contact! Her role involves being responsible for the administration of UniAssist, arranging meetings and taking the circulating minutes and matters regarding the constitution.

Sanju hopes to help students unlock their full potential for success. She is extremely passionate about helping people and believes that UniAssist would allow her to do that and even more!
Fleur West
Events Manager and Welfare Officer
Fleur's position is key to the functioning of our organisation and she is responsible for online and in-person events specifically focusing on delivering content to a widening participation cohort.

What Fleur aims for with UniAssist is to to be part of the wider outreach in showing both students and those in general that there are alternative routes into higher education and that education is personal. She wants to show that traditionalism in education is outdated and so much more can be made of educative routes than that proposed normally!
Aimee Cheung
Students Coordinator & Equal Opportunities Officer
Aimee's position forms UniAssist's main outreach avenue to schools through external communications as well as ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for the UniAssist community.

Aimee believes that socio-economic inequalities must be challenged from both ends and what she aims for with UniAssist is to actively re-shape minds and work against these barriers!
Robynn Wisz
Evaluation Officer
Next, introducing our Evaluation Officer, Robynn Wiszniewska! Her role involves monitoring all UniAssist activities and events as well as ensuring a steep progression towards achieving our main aims.

What Robynn aims for is to help UniAssist become more effective at encouraging and supporting students in applying to higher education through the design and analysis of event evaluations!
Anand Bagla
Design and Resources Co-ordinator
Anand is responsible for the creation of graphics as well as guides for students to access online.

What Anand aims for with UniAssist is to make it more feasible and open a wider range of opportunities for the underprivileged or the ones having no one to take help from while they try to apply to achieve higher education!
Thea Bickford
Marketing Executive
Thea is our marketing expert as well as a drive for UniAssist volunteers. Also, she is responsible for increasing awareness of our organisation at a departmental level.

Thea states that UniAssist team is committed to providing students with equal opportunities when applying for university through support and guidance, which she is aiming to make even more widely available and easily accessible through the use of clever and effective marketing!

Publicity Officer
Sofya is doing all behind the scenes of UniAssist social media. If you are getting in touch with UniAssist on social media, she would be the one answering you!

Treasurer
Joseph's role involves financial management, as well as navigation of the grant application process.

What Joe aims for with UniAssist is to level the playing field for Russell Group applicants and provide equal opportunities to students no matter their socio-economic background!

It's my job to keep this website up and running and up-to-date!

Social mobility is a matter of urgency, and you can look to any number of events in the news each week to see that we're a long way off from where we'd like to be and where we should be. I am honoured and inspired to be able to help UniAssist in whatever ways I can so that we as a community in Warwick can push to be examples and strive to give everyone a fair chance at university no matter their background!
