UniAssist
One generation empowering the next
Who We Are
At UniAssist, our aim is clear; to aid and support sixth formers from non-traditional backgrounds that are applying to higher education and to better their chances of acceptance. Those who are first in their family to apply and enter higher education are often not privy to the same information and resources as their peers, therefore missing out on life-changing opportunities. UniAssist aims to bridge the gap and offer equal opportunities to those who struggle with the application processes. We strive to equip each individual with various professional and life skills such as interpersonal skills, communication skills and more to enhance their future.
Our Services
What We Offer
We offer various sessions where we give guidance and support in developing long term professional and interpersonal skills. Alongside inspirational talks from guest speakers from a wide range of backgrounds as well as a campus tour of the University of Warwick. For students in year 12, we will be sign posting different opportunities and guidance on what they can do after finishing school such as jobs, apprenticeships and university. For students in year 13 we will be focusing on skills such as gaining confidence and assertiveness as well as guidance on how to manage time and revision strategies at university. We will also provide support on volunteering and work experiences that students may want to consider exploring the field they are interested in.
